My NDE journey.

Hello again. Ves Chilcutt here. I have a lot to discuss with you. 

Exactly what is an NDE? Well I have experienced one. I went in to have open heart surgery. I have to be honest, I was very nervous. And I definitely had a reason. I have no memory of even going to the hospital. I didn't even remember my daughter taking me there. My children said the surgery went very well. However, things to a turn for the worst. I ended up in a coma for 3 months. My children said the doctors didn't give me many days to live. While in the coma, God spoke to me. He asked if I was sure this was what I wanted. I remember paying before answering. I said if it is my time, I get it. But if not....I remembered waking from the coma. I remember saying to my daughter, now I have to still have the surgery. She looked at me funny and said, Mom you already had it. I was extremely confused. I am still a bit confused. My surgery was in March. I finally went home in June. My life goes on by the Grace of God.

The surgery caused many issues to my body. Afterthe surgery at some point, my organs started shutting down. My lungs were collapsing. My Kidneys were failing. Everything was starting to fail. Being in the coma, I had many hallucinations. In my mind it was all real. To the point I am still not sure what was real or fake. The coma and the things going on in my body made me a fighter. I knew I had to fight. And, I did fight. At some point oxygen did not reach parts of my brain. I have since been diagnosed with vascular Dementia. But I don't worry about it or any other things my body is dealing with. I see my doctors and I do what I know to do.

My life is good. I have a lot of people who care for me. God gave me the best neighbors anyone could ask for. I am so thankful for each of them. I still have trouble walking. I still have dizziness, always afraid I may fall.
